Product Introduction

Working principle

When X-rays of a certain energy are irradiated onto an object, there may be three possible situations: X-rays pass through the object, X-rays are absorbed by the object, and X-rays scatter when they encounter the object. The backscatter detector collects X-rays scattered back from the surface of an object and performs statistical analysis to obtain an image of the object's surface.

The device displays various prohibited items (such as firearms, knives, explosives, drugs, etc.) carried or hidden under objects in the form of images in a non-contact manner.


Structure and Design

The handheld backscatter imaging device uses the X-ray beam generated by the X-ray tube to scan the object under test, and the scattered photoelectrons are received by the backscatter detector, which then converts them into electrical signals for amplification and output. The images are processed by a computer.

Using backscatter imaging technology

Backscattering technology refers to the use of low-energy X-rays to irradiate a point of the object being inspected, and the detector collects the scattered rays to obtain information about this point. The X-ray machine uses a flying point scanning system to scan the entire object with the projection point, thereby obtaining an image of the entire object.

High integration, easy operation, single person operation

Integrated design of equipment detection and control. The host display screen is a 7-inch color touch screen. When using, turn on the software image acquisition function, aim the handheld device at the object to be detected, hold the handle tightly with both hands, and press the acquisition button on the handle to start working.

Good image quality, easy to distinguish between organic and inorganic substances

Due to the scattering characteristics of X-rays, backscatter technology is naturally sensitive to organic substances such as explosives and drugs, and can clearly distinguish between organic and inorganic substances.

Large detection area, superior performance, and excellent workmanship

The device has a large detection area, with a field of view width of 160mm at a distance of 5cm from the object. There is no distance limitation, and the scanning speed can reach 20-30cm/s.

Low radiation dose, long battery life

The low-energy X-ray machine is used, and the X-ray coverage range is extremely small scanning points, so the radiation dose is extremely low, only slightly higher than the environmental background radiation, suitable for long-term handheld use.

Detection

By using backscatter detection, suspicious packages, walls, furniture, car tires, and interior spaces can be detected. Single side detection imaging does not require any imaging devices to be installed behind the inspected items.

When the device is 50mm away from the object, the detection width should not be less than 160mm, and there is no limit to the length direction.

Safety

When scanning objects to capture images, there is a normally closed radiation start stop button on the handle. Press it manually to emit radiation, and release it immediately to stop emitting radiation, ensuring the safety of equipment use.

When a single battery is fully charged, it can meet the device's endurance time of 5 hours in room temperature working state and 2 hours in imaging scanning state.
